Week Of Love Valentine’s Nail Art Challenge: Hearts: Reverse Gradient Hearts

It’s hearts in today’s Week of Love Valentine’s Nail Art Challenge and I’m so pleased with what I’ve done.

I’ve created some reverse gradient hearts.

Firstly, I created a gradient on my nails, from white at the cuticles to dark pink at the tips using – from darkest to lightest – Barry M Pomegranate, NYC Greenwich Village, Collection 2000 Candy Floss and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Then I used a card punch to cut out a large heart in some painter’s tape. I stuck that over my nail, then created a gradient within the heart cut-out using the same polishes but going in the opposite direction.

I really love the effect and was so pleased with these. Sadly they only lasted a day because I had to do tomorrow’s manicure, but I got to enjoy them for a little while at least.
