Week Of Love Valentine’s Nail Art Challenge: Freestyle: Pink Cling Film (Saran Wrap) with Red Heart Studs

Happy Valentine’s Day! Well, I made it. I’ve posted every day for the Week of Love Valentine’s Nail Art Challenge. Today’s final prompt calls for us to recreate someone else’s manicure or to do something freestyle.

I tried a few different things out that I’d not done before, but they all failed, so in the end I decided to go with something fairly simple.

I did a cling film (Saran wrap) base using one coat each of Models Own Pink Blush and Collection 2000 Candy Floss.

Then I added some studs. They’re silver studs that I’ve painted with Barry M Blood Orange before applying. Because Blood Orange is quite sheer and jelly-like, the studs have retained their metallic qualities, which I rather liked.

I’ve not tried a cling film wrap mani before, but I love the effect it created. I also thought the hearts were just normal red hearts. I have never thought about painting ones before – I will definitely be trying that! it’s really nice how they are still metallic too. I love everything about this mani.

This colour combination for the saran wrap looks great! The heart studs work look so nice with it too! 🙂

I think you did a great job! The hearts remind me of red hot candy hearts! 🙂
